ROYALS was commissioned by Mølleparken, Sønderborg, in June 2024 at the request of Benjamin Hav og Familien, who have made it a tradition to collect a unique painting of the Danish Royal Couple – King Frederik X  and Queen Mary – from every venue they perform at.  

This painting was inspired by the Royal Couple’s official coronation portraits by Hasse Nielsen and set against a backdrop that represents Sønderborg. On top of them, the word MOJN, a classic Southern Jutland greeting, works as a welcoming symbol of Sønderborg.
